Dave Cameron Agrees With Me

August 1st, 2012 by terrybenish

Go read his page, because its considered to be bad form to copy and paste into another blog, somebody else’s work, sort of like throwing something really ugly into a punchbowl. The link is below.

It must be said that such an agreement may be a sign that all that Mayan jabberwocky may have something to it, but as my daughter says, “Meh…”

The team is better, might have been even more better (I was tempted to leave out the even) should Ackley and Smoak played better. Ackley is having moments amidst summer, that can be likened to being dropped into a huge vat of sewage. He pounded a first pitch home run last night against a thumber named Aaron Laffey, a former Mariner whose sole virtue is being left handed. Ackley got two more rbis on two separate ground balls with runners on third base that he managed to get to first before a double play was completed. Faint praise, but those at bats sucked and the first one did not. He also got on via an error on a reasonably hard hit ball that Jay’s second baseman booted. The point is that there are some moments and have been others in last few weeks, August and September are very important months for him…

As Jeff Sullivan also noted they have a positive win differential for the first time this year and in many years. Team is measurably better. Not there yet, but better.

They have won three of last four series. Road trip coming, might be a struggle, but that is why you play the games.
