Is Jack Zduriencik In Trouble?

January 30th, 2012 by terrybenish

Let’s not kid ourselves, is what Jack said. He said his team is young and without saying it it was conveyed the young guys have to take off and there are more young guys etc…

A number of commentators have leapt on the phrase and there is some talk that Wooden Head is angry at Jack for saying it.

What should he have said? We’ll trade some more pitching at the break and see where we’re at? I don’t think that works either.

Here is in the Sun there was a piece by John Boyle of the Everett Herald telling us that Miguel Olivo is ready to mentor Jesus Montero. If I’m Jack, I take steps to make sure that Olivo does not talk to Montero. What is HE going to say, “Well Jesus, I am going to tell you how to do it, but don’t watch me as am all world at passed balls. I never ever block a pitch, it is all mitt technique…

Then there is another piece by Jim Moore about moving the fences in. Somewhere in the middle of that somebody remarks about how its not the fences but the talent. I’m with that guy.

There is some talent. They’re beating the hell out of the Smoak thing. I’m not sure its there, but here’s to hoping.
