Islandwood Howloween
October 24th, 2010 by michellewhiteEvery year we venture over to Islandwood around Halloween time to enjoy what they like to call “Howl-oween“. There is story tellng by Bainbridge Island’s Children’s Librarian (Carmine Rau), and cookies, hot cocoa, and cider to enjoy. You can bring your pumpkin to carve or paint there. They also have a few games, face painting and fortune tellers for the kids.
This year, the highlight for us was the Spider/ Bug display and live snake they had.
It was fantastic.
If you haven’t been, I highly recommend you head on over next year for some family fun!
Plus, you’ll get to see the magical (more than 150 pound) pumpkin carvings by my husband and some of his co-workers. They are certainly not to be missed!

That is some wicked-cool pumpkin carving!
