Stephen Wing Of Red Neck Militia Rumored To Be Coming To Kitsap For October 13th Cage Warrior Combat
September 11th, 2012 by Joshua Scott BeranisThe last fight I had seen him in was against local power-house
Will Montgomery, who had been training out of Rough House MMA under
Victor Solier. I should also add that it was the first Cage Warrior
Combat event that I had been to. I can’t help but show a bit of
extra enthusiasm when I hear that the Wing might once again be
paired off with another Kitsap local in order to reclaim his proud
status over the likes of Montgomery. Keep in mind that Montgomery
hadn’t exactly gone belly up during what I consider to be that
legendary bout.
Here’s a bit of what I submitted to Northwest Fightscene Magazine
for that evenings amazing line-up. It’s an extraction specifically
about Montgomery vs. Wing: In the main event, Rough House’s Will
Montgomery and Redneck Militia’s Steve Wing captivated the entire
audience. Montgomery blew up with punches in the first round, but
Wing was able to connect with several himself. Wing took a kick to
the face and began bleeding from the nose. His nose, devastated,
seemed only to pique his intensity, his eyes went wide with calm
focus. Both opponents brutally calculated steps toward victory.
They were carefully picking through the suggestive screams from
trainers, friends, and boos from the rival crowd to find
motivation. The fight went into the third round where Wing took
head control until gaining the opportunity to unload catastrophic
punches from mount, winning via ref stoppage.”
