What’s Next for our Full Circle and Rough House Fighters?

September 3rd, 2012 by Joshua Scott Beranis

How about seeing R.J. Hoyt make it to 6-1? Five bouts in a row undefeated, and then having that carpet pulled out from underneath your feet, it isn’t hard to imagine Hoyt at home, his brain still grinding at the loss. 5-1, R.J. Hoyt.

Thats a realistic number, and Rough House should be proud of him. From what I understand, he was fighting under the circumstances of a hurt hand in those final seconds against Danny Elliot. What a tight decision… Bleeding out of their faces, the match seemed to be going favorably for Elliot up untill the point at which Hoyt’s expression changed. That is when his hand must have broke.

At that point, Hoyt, either out of immediate desperation, or perhaps just the unleashing of his will to survive in the cage, began turning the bout around for himself into round 3. Elliot, consistent, began to have less oppuritunities to bring the bout to a sure finish.I heard quite a few people say it was their favorite fight on Thursday. Very exciting.

So we’re going to see him climb up to 6-1 right? Then 7-1? Know what these numbers remind me of? Not too long ago, Carl Edwards had similar stats as an Ammie. Now Carl’s already ripping it up against beasts like Wes Golden for a pro record of 2-1.

A.J. Webber threw down a Guillotine? A.J. Webber shouts out to Kip Ramos boldly and clearly that he “Bitched out”? Does Kitsap know what they’re missing?

Carl Edward’s (having taken Golden by stoppage due to strikes) was speaking loosely a few days ago about getting on the next card for Cage Warrior Combat, and I’m looking forward to it. I know he has James Bergstrom and Bobby Lawrence at his side, as do the other Full Circle fighters. If the decision comes, it will be a decision well thought out, and made with respect to Carl’s best interests…

Dustin Praxedes took down Chris Ensley pretty fast. Now Praxedes is already facebooking about his hunger for another bout, and soon. Praxedes wants renewal, and from what I understand with his relationship with fellow pros Carl Edwards and A.J., he has his eyes on the prize, and his ears open to his trainor Victor Solier.

I still can’t wait to find out whats up next. Right now its all just speculation.

  1. rj Hoyt Says:

i broke my Carpel bone in multiple places all the way through in the first round. had to fight the rest of 1 ,2 and round 3 with a broken hand.
I’m assuming we all would have seen another KO victory if he was able to feel my real right hand instead of a limp noodle! ;)

it was a GREAT fight tho i had a lot of fun and learned a bunch as well! i really appreciated the camaraderie between my opponent Danny Elliott! and myself.
