Pot shop applications finally tapering off

We’re appear to be nearing the end of the pot shop application deluge.

State employees are burning through a backlog of unprocessed marijuana business applications that piled up before the Dec. 20 filing deadline. Liquor Control Board spokesman Brian Smith said Tuesday there are “several hundred” applications statewide left to process. More than 7,000 have been filed.

In Kitsap there were just two new retail applications to report this week. They were for the same business name and both proposed for Silverdale:

  • Green Tree Smoke, 10406 Silverdale Way NW
  • Green Tree Smoke, 10876 NW Myhre Place, Suite 110
