This should be interesting. Mr Olsen has been asked time and time again to present his ideas. His only idea it seems it that Rep Rolfes spends too much money. That is not an idea, that is finger pointing.
Mr Olsen, WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE?

Oh and since Mr Olsen claims to be retired military, what is your opinion of DADT?

thanks in advance for ignoring the questions and concerns of citizens of the 23rd D.

  2. micksheldon Says:

Sure gets hostile during election season . In fact in certain areas in gets hostile all the time .

Craig consider that Rolfes and Appelton are at great odds with Kilmer and Seaquest in the South End in their policies and beliefs for that matter of how we get ourselves out of this jam . If the debate was between between those four candidates , would you be attacking them personally also ?

DADT is a Federal question I believe , and most likely will be settle soon I . The best polls i have seen show the military 58 percent in keeping with it . But that numbers changes every year to be more accepting of gays serving in the military every year . Changing culture would indictate the culture to be more accepting. Hopefully they allow some transition times for some to get out of the military if they have such a problem with it they would cause a problem within the ranks .
Perhaps it may be a good thing also to realize that traditionally the military has had a large religious presence , and traditional religion teaches sex out of the context of marriage and homosexual sex as inappropriate. So not totally out of the blue that for thousands of years of traditional western culture of teachings and those teachings have accompanied religious beliefs that those in the military with a predominately religious nature consider homosexuals serving in the military to be contrary to morale .

My generation was unaware about homosexuality , asd many before it . People looked at the act of sex and not the person involved .
This is not the fault of Mr olson , and I do notice the complete intolerance of many who support the repeal . Will this carry over into the military , will traditional beliefs be banned in foxholes ?

Tolerance is a two way street .

Mr olson served our country and Mr Sequist has , both deserve our thanks regardless f their opinion about this . Of course that does not mean deserving of your vote though.
