I think that when you have kids whose parents see the value of early education, then what you have is: parents who care. And we see that throughout a child's educational career...the kids who have parents who care, parents who don't put down their child's teacher, who don't say things like "well that's your teacher's responsibility to teach you that, not mine", etc. When you have parents who care to make sure that their kids get a good education, then you do see better graduation rates, etc. Asthma--well, you can't solve that with better parenting or early education, unfortunately.
