Tut pin sells to ‘rather wealthy’ collector

Hi readers,

I got a call this morning from local estate appraiser and seller Mike Wall of Mike Wall & Associates of Belfair, who said the King Tut pin I wrote about last week has sold to a “rather wealthy” local collector of one-of-a-kind historic pieces. The collector also has an extensive collection of Faberge items. Here’s my story from last week:

It turned into a bidding war for the pin, and the price went “considerably” above the $1,500 Wall was asking for, but remained in the four digits, he told me. Always a fascinating story when I get together with Mike.
