SAY THAT AGAIN: Gasoline prices have peaked below a national
average of $3 per gallon and are heading lower as the summer
driving season approaches.
WHAT GIVES: A 12 percent drop in oil prices has pushed wholesale
gasoline prices down by 25 cents. That’s gradually bringing lower
prices to the gas pump.
THE REASONS: Ample fuel supplies, the European debt crisis and
muted political unrest have helped check oil prices heading into
summer.
