SILVERDALE
The Doctors Clinic is relocating its corporate offices to
Silverdale as it continues to gather many of its operations in this
central part of Kitsap County.
Housed in former big-box store at 9621 Ridgetop Blvd. NW, the new
corporate offices for the region’s largest physicians’ group will
be for senior managers and employees who run the purchasing,
billing and information-technology departments.
Some 50 people will work there.
Corporate offices for The Doctors Clinic used to on Fourth Street
in downtown Bremerton across from the former Roxy Theatre, and in
other areas scattered across the county.
Dr. Brian Wicks, Doctors Clinic president, anticipates that
centralizing corporate operations will be more efficient.
“We will have all these folks in one location,” he said.
Work to convert the dilapidated former Good Guys home-electronics
store to premium office suites took six months of hard work and is
just finishing up now, Wicks said.
But Doctors Clinic leaders are satisfied with the result.
Chief Executive Officer Linda Brown, said, “We had a unique
opportunity to help restore a dilapidated property which had been
an unoccupied blemish in Silverdale for the past six years.”
The site, to be named The Doctors Clinic Ridgetop East, will get
larger in a month when the occupational medicine and physical
therapy departments are moved into a second building that’s
adjacent to the new corporate offices.
The Doctors Clinic in recent months and years has relocated many of
its operations to more centralized Silverdale.
In Silverdale, The Doctors Clinic also has four other locations
that include its oldest facility there, now being called The
Doctors Clinic Ridgetop West; The Doctors Clinic Cavalon Place, The
Doctors Clinic Charles L. Salmon Medical Center and The Doctors
Clinic Women’s and Children’s Center.
Roughly two-thirds of the clinic’s approximately 75 doctors now
have offices in the greater Silverdale area, according to
Wicks.
With a total of nine locations throughout Kitsap County, The
Doctors Clinic began in 1949 in downtown Bremerton. It moved to
East Bremerton in 1960, and last year sold its former flagship
building there.
