April 9th, 2014 by Annette Griffus

It’s official.

Port Townsend High School is now home to the Red Hawks.

Students voted for the new mascot Tuesday and the name drew a total of 256 votes. Sasquatch finished second (106) followed by Riptide (41). The symbol will be in use for the 2014-15 school year.

PT Superintendent David Engle is expected to finalize the decision.
