Kitsap nets trio of All-State basketball players

The Associated Press All-State basketball team was released Thursday, and two Bremerton players and a North Kitsap player were on it.
Deonte Dixon, the Olympic League MVP, was a first team player on the Class 2A boys team. Dixon led the Knights to regionals averaging 18.9 points and 3.1 steals per game. North Kitsap’s Calvin Dennis was named an honorable mention. Dennis averaged 15.1 points, 13 rebounds and 3.2 assists and 4.9 blocks.

Sawyer Kluge, the Olympic League girls MVP, was an honorable mention pick. Kluge led West Sound with 22.6 points per game. She also averaged 11.3 rebounds, 4.9 steals and 2.5 assists.
