South Kitsap’s VanAmen makes big debut

In his first high school track and field meet on Thursday, South Kitsap freshman Nolan VanAmen had a big debut.
He won the shot put at 51-4.5 and he won the discus at 169-10, which broke the school record.
His brother Chandler won the javelin at 159-0.
Nolan VanAmen made headlines over the summer for winning national titles in the shot put and discus and breaking discus records.
