The Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association started its season earlier this week. Klahowya beat Bethel 20-2 at Central Kitsap Junior High Thursday.
Cassidy Andrews led with six goals while Madison Snellenberg had four goals for the Eagles (1-1). Andrews, a midfielder, scored five goals total during the 2013 season. Klahowya led 12-1 at halftime. Goalkeeper Kennedy Daniels had four saves for Klahowya.
Bainbridge is 1-1 on the season. Friday’s games include North Kitsap JV hosting Kennedy JV; North Olympic vs. Bainbridge (Saturday) at 10:30 a.m.
The Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association begins play Friday.
Bainbridge and Bellevue will play at 8 p.m. at Bellevue. The Wolverines are the two-time defending state champions, while Bainbridge was a 2013 state semifinalist.
Other local teams playing include Emerald Ridge-Puyallup at North Kitsap and Vashon at Klahowya. Both those games are Saturday.
