WIAA lets Rainier Beach play for national title

Rainier Beach, undefeated, top-ranked and expected to roll to the Class 3A state title next week, was invited to play in a national-championship tournament in New York.
The WIAA said no, saying that it violated three different rules.
The WIAA changed course and allowed the Vikings the chance to play in this tournament, saying it’s setting a new course for the organization.
