Central Kitsap sticking in Narrows League 3A

Central Kitsap has finally decided 3A is the place to be. Again.
CK athletic director Bill Baxter said Wednesday he is no longer considering filing an appeal to play in the 4A classification.
CK decided last week playing the Narrows League 3A, with eight teams, was the best bet as it afforded more postseason opportunities than the seven-team 4A division.
After making that decision, the eight teams were in doubt as Capital was considering other options. If Capital didn’t join the Narrows, CK likely would have appealed as they felt the 4A division would be better fit than a seven-team 3A division.
Capital applied to the Narrows League on Tuesday, firming up the eight teams and CK decided to stay put.
CK has been a 4A member of the Narrows League for football since 1999 and for all sports since 2001.
