NK sneaks back into statewide volleyball poll

After dropping out of the top 10 last week, North Kitsap’s volleyball team returned to the statewide poll in the 10th spot this week.

The Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association ranked NK one spot lower than it had been the first two weeks of the season, in the 2A classification.

No other area schools made the rankings in any other classification.

Class 4A—1, Bellarmine. 2, Central Valley. 3, Curtis. 4, Kentwood. 5, Mead. 6, Skyview. 7, Auburn Riverside. 8, Jackson. 9, Emerald Ridge. 10, Newport.

Class 3A—1, Southridge. 2, Mercer Island. 3, University. 4, Seattle Prep. 5, Kennedy. 6, Shadle Park. 7, Kamiakin. 8, Prairie. 9, Auburn Mountainview. 10, Meadowdale.

Class 2A—1, Burlington-Edison. 2, Tumwater. 3, Selah. 4, Capital. 5, West Valley. 6, Sehome. 7, Ellensburg. 8, Sumner. 9, Cheney. 10, North Kitsap.

Class 1A—1, Annie Wright. 2, Chelan. 3, Cascade Leavenworth. 4, King’s. 5, Lynden Christian. 6, Freeman. 7, Lakeside. 8, Naches Valley. 9, Kalama. 10, Riverside.

Class 2B—1, Colfax. 2, Toutle Lake. 3, Davenport. 4, LaConner. 5, Lind Ritzville-Sprague. 6, Tri Cities Prep. 7, Napavine. 8, Darrington. 9, Morton/White Pass. 10, Riverside Christian.
