South Kitsap softball sweeps All-Narrows honors

South Kitsap was well represented on the All-Narrows League softball team. Senior Ashley Chamberlin was named the MVP pitcher, junior Hannah Spohn was named MVP position player and Jessica Cabato was tabbed as the coach of the year.

Also making the first team was Central Kitsap junior Sam Williams and SK’ seniors Alissa Buss, Kayla Clauson and sophomores Shelby Reyes and Drew Camacho.

    Really? There is a player on this list this year with a widely known reputation for intentionally hitting batters in the helmet on throwdowns to 3rd, along with other questionable issues with sportsmanship. These comments are now heretofore for all 7 Narrows League coaches:

    Athletic competition is a snapshot of life. The purpose of sport is for the athlete to realize the self discipline required to excel at life, preferably gaining the knowledge that ethical competition is of a benefit to themselves and society. You have a civic responsibility, accepted when you assumed the privilege of coaching our youth, to instill in your athletes these values.
