Bainbridge soccer takes third at state tourney

Bainbridge scored on a deflection in overtime (88th minute) in the third/fourth-place game at the Class 3A state soccer game. They beat Hanford 3-2. It’s Bainbridge third straight year in the top four.

    Nathan, thanks for the coverage. I am simply a local fan who watched the game, but to give proper credit to the Bainbridge player who scored, it appeared to be more than just a deflection (which implies that the shot went off a defender or the post). Instead, it was a brilliant, back-heel redirect by the Bainbridge player (Will Economy, I believe). I believe it was deliberate, and if it wasn’t, well the player should just take credit for it as if it was :)
