Saturday update — SK baseball, Bainbridge soccer move on

In baseball,
South Kitsap beat Jackson 3-0 in opener. The Wolves beat Woodinville 4-1 in the quarterfinals. SK is in the final four for the first time since 2003, when they won the state title in Elton Goodwin’s final season.
North Kitsap beat Sedro Woolley 4-3 in its opener. The Vikings lost to Tumwater 3-0 in quarterfinals.
Bainbridge lost to Bonney Lake 11-1 in a mercy rule game.
Olympic lost to WF West 4-2.

In soccer.
Bainbridge beats Glacier Peak 4-1. Will Economy with the hat trick and Michael Crowley with a goal and three assists. Spartans in the state semifinals for third straight year.

In softball,
The West Central District softball tournaments have been rained out. Sounds like they’re going to try again on Monday.
Before it was rained out, Kingston lost to Fife 8-5 in a winner-to-state game. Kingston plays Sequim, which lost to Sumner 6-4, on Monday in a loser-out, winner-to-state game. Port Angeles claimed a spot at state with a 6-1 win over Franklin Pierce. Olympic was trailing White River 2-0 in the second inning when rain halted play.

In track and field
North Kitsap girls repeat as Class 2A West Central District team champs.
