Bainbridge’s Crowley earns Metro Mountain MVP

May 16th, 2013 by jeff graham

Bainbridge senior midfielder Michael Crowley has earned Metro League Mountain Division most valuable player honors for the second consecutive season.
“That’s cool,” Crowley said Thursday. “I honestly didn’t know.”
Crowley, who’ll play at Claremont McKenna (Calif.) College next season, missed the early part of the season for the Spartans after tearing a ligament in his knee last summer. He returned to help the team win a division title.
Bainbridge, the defending Class 3A state champion, faces Glacier Peak in the state quarterfinals Saturday at 7 p.m. at Snohomish High School.
Three other Bainbridge players were named to the first team: defender Alex Coplan, midfielder Will Economy and forward Sebastian Scales. Goalkeeper Carsten Frederickson and midfielder Jesse Moore made the second team.
