Your Tuesday spring playoff update

We’ll have district baseball updates for you today as the spring playoffs really get going this week.

South Kitsap earns a spot in the Class 4A state baseball tournament, beating Emerald Ridge 5-1 in the West Central/Southwest District tournament. SK will play district semifinals on Saturday.

Bremerton beat Franklin Pierce 6-3 in the 2A West Central District tournament. The Knights will play Sumner in a winner-to-state game on Wednesday at Franklin Pierce at 2:30 p.m.

Olympic wins their 2A district opener, beating Foster 14-4. The Trojans will play Fife tomorrow at 4 p.m. back at the Fairgrounds (winner to state).

Klahowya also survived its opener, beating Orting 9-5. The Eagles will play North Kitsap at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds (winner to state).

Port Angeles was eliminated by Lindbergh 4-3.

In soccer news, Central Kitsap beat Stadium 3-1 and clinched the Narrows League title.
