Taking a look at the state track and field leadersApril 19th, 2013 by nathan joyce
Here are the state leaders in track and field, courtesy of
the excellent Athletic.net.
There are several Kitsap athletes scattered through the state leaders. Among them: North Mason’s CJ Allen has the second-best time (by a hair) in the 300 hurdles and third-best time in the 400.
Central Kitsap’s Javelin duo of Hudson Keffer and Zack Knudson are among the top 10.
Central Kitsap’s Rose Christen is among the leaders in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200.
North Kitsap’s Alex Lanzafame, the defending state champ in two jumps, has yet to uncork a big jump and isn’t among the top 10. Her fellow NK state champ, Regan Colyer, is fourth in the 300 hurdles, but talking to her a few weeks ago, she’s now rounding into form in the event.
North Kitsap has two among the high jump leaders in Taylor Stephens and Havilah Criss.
Olympic’s Zach Smith is among the 100 leaders.
If you look at the just the 2As, you see locals all over the state leaders.
And if you look at just the 4A, you see plenty of CK and SK among the best in the state.
