State semifinal football games on TV

Did you see what Tumwater did to Archbishop Murphy?

Archbishop, which ran for 521 yards in a 45-21 win over Bremerton in a Class 2A first-round state playoff game, was smacked 21-0 by Tumwater.

And Sumner, which beat Kingston 26-9, lost 42-7 to Lynden.

Yep, the Olympic League still has a ways to go to catch up to the best in the state.

Roosevelt of Seattle, which eliminated Central Kitsap in a state preliminary round game, played No. 1 Skyline tough for a half before falling 54-21 in a Class 4A quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, the march to state titles continues and you catch watch semifinal action on ROOT this weekend. Here’s the press release:

ROOT SPORTS will showcase WIAA High School Football 2A, 3A, and 4A semifinals this Friday and Saturday. The action kicks off on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Capital (10-2) vs. Lynden (11-1) in the 2A semifinals. Later that evening at 7:00 p.m., watch game #1 of the WIAA 3A semifinals as Mount Si (11-1) faces Bellevue (12-0) at the Tacoma Dome. Then on Saturday it’s a High School Football double header starting at 4 p.m. PT, when 4A defending state champs, Skyline (12-0) take on Camas (12-0) in hopes to return to the Tacoma Dome for this year’s Championship Game. The WIAA 4A excitement continues when Bellarmine Prep (11-1) faces Auburn (10-2) at 7:00 p.m. PT. Don’t miss the High School Football action on ROOT SPORTS.
