NK wrestler Velarde commits to Old Dominion

North Kitsap senior wrestler Jake Velarde, a three-time state high school champion with the Vikings, has verbally committed to wrestle at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.

Velarde committed earlier this month. Last season, the Monarchs sent five wrestlers to the NCAA championships.
