North Kitsap heads into league meet ranked No. 2

cross country poll, which still as NK as No. 2 and Kingston at
No. 8.
The league meets are this week.
The first postseason cross country meet for West Sound schools is
the Narrows League meet on Wednesday at Fort Steilacoom.
South Kitsap and Central Kitsap are in the 4A race. The girls run
at 4:10 p.m. and the boys at 4:45 p.m. The top four teams and 20
individuals qualify for the district meet.
Thursday is a busy day for league meets. The Olympic League meet is
at The Cedars at Dungeness golf course in Sequim at 4 p.m. The top
four teams and 20 individuals advance from that meet into
districts.
The Metro League meet is at Lower Woodland park in Seattle at 3
p.m., and the top eight teams and 40 individuals qualify for
districts.
The Sea-Tac League meet, in which everybody qualifies for
districts, is at Trophy Lake in Port Ochard at 4 p.m.
The district meet, the Westside Classic, is at American Lake Golf Course in
Lakewood on Oct. 27. All local schools except for Bainbridge are at
that meet. Bainbridge is at the SeaKing District meet at Lower
Woodland on Oct. 25.
