Volleyball update: Bainbridge back in top 10, Sequim joins rankings

The Bainbridge Spartans moved back among the top 10 in the Class 3A state coaches poll this week.

After being ranked as high as No. 3 two weeks ago, the Spartans fell out of the rankings last week after a loss to Blanchet.

Joining Bainbridge as the only other peninsula team to be ranked are the Sequim Wolves in 2A. The Wolves debut at No. 7.

Here’s the rankings:

Class 4A—1, Mead. 2, Jackson. 3, Curtis. 4, Bellarmine Prep. 5, Camas. 6, Olympia. 7, Skyline. 8, Newport. 9, Auburn-Riverside. 10, Puyallup.

Class 3A—1, Prairie. 2, Mercer Island. 3, Mount Si. 4, Kamiakin. 5, Timberline. 6, Mt. Spokane. 7, Kennwick. 8, Kennedy. 9, Meadowdale. 10, Bainbridge.

Class 2A—1, West Valley (Yakima). 2, Selah. 3, Colville. 4, Tumwater. 5, Anacortes. 6, Capital (Olympia). 7, Sequim. 8, Ridgefield. 9, Washington. 10, Burlington-Edison.

Class 1A—1, Chelan. 2, Castle Rock. 3, Freeman. 4, Lakeside. 5, Cascade (Leavenworth). 6, King’s (Shoreline). 7, King’s Way Christian. 8, Brewster. 9, Kalama. 10, Woodlands.

Class 2B—1, Colfax. 2, Bear Creek. 3, Reardan. 4, Pe Ell. 5, Northwest Christian (Colbert). 6, La Conner. 7, Asotin. 8, Darrington. 9, Riverside Christian. 10, Davenport.
