Volleyball rankings update: In a surprise, Bainbridge out of top 10

Talk about a shift in the rankings.

This one I don’t think was the correct call, but hey, I’m not voting. Bainbridge was shut out of the top 10 rankings by the state coaches association poll for Class 3A.

Bainbridge had been previously ranked No. 3 last week, jumping up from No. 6. The Spartans lost to Blanchet in a Metro League match last week. It was a bit of an upset, but the Metro League is one of the toughest in the state and I wouldn’t be surprised if the state semifinals consisted of 2 or 3 ML teams.

No other West Sound teams were listed in the rankings.
