September 20th, 2012 by nathan joyceBainbridge High’s Metro League football opener against Eastside
Catholic, scheduled for Friday night, has been moved to
Saturday.

Skyline High closed Thursday after a mass shooting threat was
discovered and reported to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Eastside is located less than a mile from Skyline.
The Seattle Times reported that the online threat was made by a
Skyline student.
Eastside Catholic coach Jeremy Thielbahr said his unbeaten
Crusaders (3-0), ranked No. 5 in the Class 3A Associated Press
poll, did a walk through in the gym Thursday, and the Crusaders
will practice in the gym again on Friday.
“I think you can rally around anything,” Thielbahr told the Times.
“We talk about mental toughness every single day and about
overcoming adversity and focusing on us and what we can control.
This was an event we couldn’t control, and I think our leadership
and team chemistry will be able to handle this bump.”
Skyline (3-0) is No. 1 in the state Class 4A rankings.
Bainbridge (1-2) coach Andy Grimm could not be reached for
comment.
