First Impression: New captain for the Bucs

August 21st, 2012 by nathan joyce

For the first time, Dan Novick isn’t the coach of the Kingston Buccaneers.
Novick, who started the program when the school opened in 2007, became the vice principal at Ridgetop Junior High.
His defensive coordinator the last three years, W.Todd Harder, is the interim coach.
The Bucs are largely unchanged and expect to be the same power-running squad that has reached the playoffs the last two seasons.
But Kingston is young. Only four starters are back (they play both ways) and their two quarterbacks — two-time state wrestling champion Bobby Reece and Ben McMullen — are injured in the early going.
Harder still expects the Bucs to challenge for one of the top spots in the league.
