Kingston hires girls basketball coach, swim coaches
June 27th, 2012 by nathan joyceKingston hired Matt Smith as its girls basketball coach. Smith
replaces Penny Gienger, who retired following the season.
Smith was the junior varsity boys coach at North Kitsap the
previous three years. Smith, 32, is from Georgia and landed in West
Sound because of the Navy. This is his first head coaching gig.
Kingston also hired swimming coaches. Pam Manix will coach the
girls. She has been the assistant the last two years. Mark VanHuis,
the NK pool coordinator, will coach the boys.
Kingston is still looking for a volleyball coach.
