PA’s Jones named OL volleyball MVP
November 10th, 2011 by Annette GriffusIt was a clean sweep by Port Angeles for the top three awards in the Olympic League volleyball all-league team.
Kiah Jones, a senior outside hitter, was named MVP, Lauren Norton was named defensive player of the year and Christine Halberg was tabbed as coach of the year.
North Kitsap seniors Sarah Baugh and Meaghan Houser were named to the OL first team. Other first-teamers include Olympic senior Monica Phinney, Port Angeles’ Emily Drake and Sequim’s Taylor Balkan and Haleigh Harrison.
Klahowya and Sequim earned the team sportsmanship award.

Just getting caught up on this. Still trying to figure out how Sequim High School got the sportsmanship award. If you watched that team during their matches at all the choice is questionable to say the least.

Kramdenfan, you must be a North K parent, because after all some of your parents are the worst behaved in the league and the biggest whiners. We shall see next year if your team is voted miss congeniality. Whaaaaaa!
