South Softball Wins in Extra Innings
April 20th, 2010 by Annette GriffusJV call-up Charlene “Charlie” Brown had the game-winning hit against Wilson on Tuesday in Port Orchard. Until her at-bat in the ninth, she had been cheering on the varsity team from the stands. The Wolves won 7-6.
The Wolves battled back twice to take a 5-3 lead before Wilson tied the game at 5 and forced the extra innings. The Wolves improved to 8-1 in Narrows League Bridge Division play and are tied atop the standings with Wilson (8-1).
