Time to Head Cross Country

November 5th, 2009 by nathan joyce

I’m heading off to Pasco, the site of the state cross country meet. It should be a big year for local runners, as I pointed out in this story. Besides Kitsap dominance, there’s another interesting story line coming out of Pasco. This could be the end of Spokane’s run. Teams from the Greater Spokane League have won the team title (and most of the individual titles) in the big-school meet every year since 1988. Jackson of Mill Creek is No. 1 in the nation. Ferris of Spokane is No. 9. Should be quite a showdown.

Forget the Jackson Five, as they are called in the story. It could be all about Moskowitz. And maybe even the Kingston Trio of Ruby, Marina, and Nick. And even Port Townsend.
