Prep Football: SK Ranked No. 2 in One Poll

October 19th, 2009 by cstark

PrepRecruiter.com has South Kitsap ranked No. 2 among Class 4A football teams in the state. Skyline is No. 1. It’s a bit surprising, but that’s what they’ve got. Check it out here.

By the way, if South wins the Narrows League title, it’ll play the No. 2 team from the KingCo in a first-round playoff game. That opponent is likely to be the loser of the Skyline-Bothell game. South will host the game. Skyline and Bothell are ranked 1-2 in most state polls. Before that game, SK would play a preliminary round game against the second-place team from the Greater St. Helen’s League. Currently that’s Heritage.

Looking down the road, if North Mason can bounce back from its loss to Sequim to claim the No. 2 seed out of the Olympic/N isqually League, it’ll play Interlake of Bellevue in a Tuesday playoff game. Interlake, out of the Class 3A/2A KingCo, beat North Mason is a similar scenario a year ago.

  1. Wolfreak Says:

The Wolves will have to first win a play-in game vs Greater St. Helens #2 team to reach the playoffs, then would be matched up against the winner of the South Puget Sound League North #3 team vs the Kingco #2 (currently Bothell) in the first round.
