9:24
First final: South Kitsap 10, Olympia 6. Big road win. Olympia had won 30 straight Narrows League games.
Another final: CK 31, Lincoln 18.
8:50
SK 10, Olympia 6: That’s after three quarters.
We’re back.. Sorry for the shortage of updates. Kind of short-handed in the office tonight (8:46 p.m.):
Timberline 47, Bremerton 6: That’s a halftime score. Sounds like the “mercy rule” will be invoked in that one. When a team gets ahead by 45, they use a running clock.
SK 10, Olympia 6: That was the halftime score. Also of note, the Narrows League plans to expand to 15 teams next year. It’ll be combined 4A/3A league. Four teams out of the OWL (Olympic Western League) will be merging into the Narrows. At least, that’s the word from reporter Nathan Joyce. Look for a story later tonight after he files his game story from Olympia.
More updates (8:10 p.m.):
Bainbridge 14, Seattle Prep 7: QB Wagner has thrown two TD passes for Bainbridge.
Central Kitsap 17, Lincoln 6: Francisco Alvarenga kicked a 44-yard field goal on the final play of the first half for CK.
Here we go:
South Kitsap 7, Olympia 6: Leon La Deaux just went 88 yards on a fake punt to give the Wolves the lead in their big Narrows League showdown in Olympia. Eight minutes left in the first half.
Central Kitsap 14, Lincoln 0: Cougars are rolling at Silverdale Stadium in the first half.
Timberline 17, Bremerton 6: The visitors from Lacey have the upper hand in our live video streaming game of the week. Check it out.
