The Prep Beat

Former North Kitsap head football coach Jerry Parrish, a Washington State Coaches Hall of Famer, could tell you how many days to the start of football season in the middle of May. I can’t do that, but if you’re looking for the 2009 schedule of your favorite school, you’ve come to the right spot.

There’s some intriguing Week 1 matchups: Central Kitsap vs. Kentwood on  Thursday, Sept. 3; North Kitsap at Bainbridge on Friday, Sept. 4;  and South Kitsap vs. Kennewick at noon on Saturday, Sept. 5, a game that’s part of the annual Emerald City Kickoff Classic at Qwest Field.
