Wheeler memorial set for Nov. 28

“The memorial service for
Centrum Founding Director Joseph F.
Wheeler will take place Saturday, November 28, at 2 pm at
Fort Worden State Park’s McCurdy Pavilion.
Wheeler passed away on Nov. 2 at the age of 77 at Virginia Mason
Hospital in Seattle. He was surrounded by his family, including his
wife Renate, and his children. Wheeler served as Centrum’s first
executive director from 1973 to 1996, and remained an active board
member and fundraiser since his retirement.”
