BPA Announces All-Blockbuster 2009-10 Season

I’ve actually had this for a couple of days, but didn’t have time to post it until now. Bainbridge Performing Arts will stage four pretty well-known crowd-pleasers for its 2009-10 season, starting off with Mel Brooks’ “The Producers.”

The Producers ” will run Oct. 9 to 25, directed by dependable Teresa Thuman.

Peter Pan ” will follow for the holidays, Dec. 11 to 20, co-directed by Steven Fogell and Lee Ann Hittenberger.

The Grapes of Wrath ,” adapted from the great John Steinbeck novel, will run March 19 to 27, directed by Kate Carruthers (whose excellent staging of Yazmina Reza’s “Art” just wrapped up).

And “Man of La Mancha ,” directed by Corey D. McDaniel, will be up May 7 to 23.

BPA also announced the dates for the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra ‘s three performance weekends — Nov. 14 and 15, Feb. 20 and 21 and April 17 and 18. Programs will be announced later.
