Beware ‘Burlesque Night’ in Kitsap County

Beware the Ides of March.

But if you’re not a Burlesque fan, you might want to start bewaring a day early. On March 14, Kitsap gets a double dose of the bawdy art form with shows on Bainbridge Island and in Bremerton .

The Atomic Bombshells will strut their Seattle-based stuff in a 7:30 p.m. show at Bainbridge Performing Arts , 200 Madison Ave. N. Tickets are $20. Information: (206) 842-8569, bainbridgeperformingarts.org.

The Voodoo Dollz , a mainstay of the flourishing Vancouver, B.C. Burlesque and alt-entertainment scene, will be onstage with Big John Bates as part of an evening’s merry mayhem at Winterland , 1220 Sylvan Way in East Bremerton. The show begins at 9:30 p.m. with sets from local units James Hunnicutt and Hard Money Saints . Cover is $7. Information: (360) 479-5686, myspace.com/winterlandrocks.

If you time it just right (remember to drive safely), you can see ’em both. More tassles and feather boas and pasties than you’ve seen in one night in a long, long time, I’ll wager.
