Jewel Box Sets Auditions for ‘Born Yesterday’

The Jewel Box Theatre is conducting auditions
for “Born Yesterday” from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 6 and 8 at the theater,
225 Iverson St. in Poulsbo.
Roles for “Born Yesterday” include four women and eight men ages
20-60.
“Born Yesterday” will be presented at the Jewel Box during the
weekends from April 2 to 25. Performances will be 8 p.m. Fridays
and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.
“Born Yesterday” is a classic comedy by Garson Kanin and directed
by Laurel Watt.
“Born Yesterday” is about the crooked businessman Harry Brock and
his girlfriend, the charming, but dumb ex-chorus girl Billie. Her
lack of social graces embarrasses even Harry, so he hires handsome,
smart Paul Verrall to educate her. This comedy enjoyed one of the
longest runs in history on Broadway.
