Olalla Writer’s Film Shows at Washougal Festival

Raphael Giovanni Carlo of Olalla — who some of you will remember from the zombie flick “Carnival of the Damned,” from when it screened last year at the Orchard Theatre — is the writer for “Timetravel 0,” a docudrama (based on the story of John Titor, who mysteriously appeared and disappeared from the Internet, claiming to be a time traveler from the future and making some dire predictions for the future of mankind) that will screen at 9 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Washougal International Film Festival.

Carlo played hard-bitten detective Harry Stanton in “Carnival of the Damned,” directed by Chris Thompson and shot entirely in and around Port Orchard. That film also starred Bremerton’s Adrienne Baltz.

Anyway, if you’ve been jonesin’ for a trip to Washougal (and who hasn’t?), here’s your excuse.
