The Andy Mackie Music Foundation will be having its annual
Family Music
Festival on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on
Sunday, Aug. 31 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Memorial Field in Port
Townsend.
The events will consist of Scottish Highland Games for kids on
Saturday.
These games will start at 10 a.m. and go until about 2 p.m. A
silent
auction and an instrument building workshop will be both days.
Participating in this
workshop will allow you to build your own instrument and take it
home. There will be food and vendors on the grounds.
The music this event will feature will include bluegrass, fiddle
tunes,
Celtic, folk music, rock and roll, blues, jazz, Hawaiian dance and
Scottish
music. A dance will be on Saturday night at 8 p.m. and run
until
10 p.m.

Admission is by donation only. All proceeds will be divided
between the
Andy Mackie Music Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.
