Music in Charleston: Live, free, acoustic
July 15th, 2008 by michael c. mooreHello (tap, tap) … is this thing on?
Michael C. Moore here — your friendly neighborhood Arts & Entertainment scribe from the Kitsap Sun and kitsapsun.com . This is my first swan-dive into this new blog (I think it’s official now that absolutely everyone in The Sungeon has a blog). I’m not qualified to operate this equipment, but if I don’t jump in here and get started, you’ll miss this cool bit o’ A&E news:
Artists for Freedom and Unity are hosting a free evening of live acoustic music Friday (July 18) at the AFU Gallery, 318 N Callow Ave. in Bremerton’s fabled Charleston neighborhood. The music commences at 6 p.m. with contributions from Jack & Pat Moriarity, Brain Fritz, Mind of a Madman, Bobby Taylor, Forty Seven and doubtless others. It’s an all-ages event, but for those festooned with the proper identification, hootch will be available at the bar. And if that’s not Everything You Need to Know, you can call AFU at (360) 782-1329, e-mail info@artfreeunity.com or log on to artfreeunity.com .
So, there it is: The first Kitsap Entertainment blog. Hopefully, you’ll be hearing from us frequently through this little portal straight from The Sungeon to you. Better still, we’re interactive. You can put your two cents’ worth in on things you read here, or in Kitsap A&E, or on the Entertainment page at kitsapsun.com.
I’m looking forward to, well, interacting with you.
More later. MM
