Vandals Hit Fairgrounds Park
A damaged railing at Kitsap Kids Park on Stampede Boulevard near
the Kitsap County Fairgrounds represents another incident in a wave
of vandalism throughout the county this year.
15-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Library Vandalism Case
Bremerton police have arrested a 15-year-old boy suspected of
vandalizing the Sylvan Way branch of Kitsap Regional Library five
times in recent weeks.
Sheriff Candidate Seeks Clarity on Federal Act
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Rye, who is running for sheriff,
said he had no idea that working a few extra shifts to support
public safety might cause a problem if he decided to run for

Kidnapping Suspects Nabbed in Utah
Two suspects in the kidnapping of an East Bremerton woman were
arrested Friday in Salt Lake City. The 26-year-old victim was
attacked in her home July 16 by three people before she was tied,
gagged and stuffed into the truck of her car. She escaped from the
trunk as the suspects drove away. Her car was found abandoned and
on fire five hours later in the Seabeck area.

The man suspected of using a gun and a pillowcase while robbing
four area banks was on parole at the time for robbing a
Belfair-area credit union in a similar manner four years ago.

June 14, they spotted two teens carrying silver-colored pipes and

pornography charges is out of jail following his arrest for being
near children, a violation of his original bail release.

No Charges Yet in Fatal Stabbing
No charges have been filed yet against a Belfair woman who was
arrested July 16 after a man died from stabbing wounds, Mason
County Prosecutor Gary Burleson said Monday.
Missing Man Found on Boat
A Central Kitsap man missing since July 17 was found trespassing on
a boat Friday and arrested, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff
s Office.
