Halfway through June already? Hard to believe. Here’s what everyone is doing this week:

Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)

Monday, June 13, 9 a.m.: The first hour of this meeting is an executive session regarding existing litigation, by 10 am they’ll open the meeting for information sharing until an 11 a.m. adjournment.

2 p.m.: This two and-a-half hour meeting will be a budget discussion with Amber D’Amato. Adjournment at 4:30 p.m.

7 p.m.: This night meeting includes these items not on the consent agenda: A contract with Quigg Bros for the Southworth Drive bridge replacement. Fiscal impact: $875,000 – Federal STPU Funds, $1,157,654 – Road Fund for a total of $2,032,654; a contract with Sound Excavation for Division Avenue NE Road and drainage improvements safe route to school with Sound Excavation, Inc. Fiscal impact: $250,000 – Federal STP(S) Funds, $914,814 – Roads & SSWM Funds for a total of $1,164,814; and a resolution approving a temporary road closure of Southworth Drive at Curley Creek to replace the Curley Creek bridge. Fiscal impact: $500 – Road Fund.

The two public hearing items are: a hearing to consider an ordinance repealing Chapter 2.116 of Kitsap County Code “Civil Enforcement” and Chapter 9.56 Kitsap County Code “Public Nuisances” and replacing them with the County’s own code enforcement process. Fiscal impact: N/A; and MATTER SAID FOR DECISION ONLY: Continuation of a public hearing to consider a resolution approving the Shoreline Inventory and Characterization Report in support of Kitsap County’s Shoreline Master Plan (SMP) update process.

Wednesday, June 15, 8:30 a.m.: The meeting starts with discussion about code revisions to the county’s zoning code until 9 a.m. then review of the ER&R Budget for an hour until 10 a.m., an update on the Puget Sound Partnership will follow for an hour then a discussion about policy will take up 30 minutes from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Last the board will go into executive session to discuss real estate until noon when it adjourns.

Tuesday, May 17, 7 p.m.: Going a little out of its normal routine, the city council will use its normal work study session time to hold a special public hearing on changing its form of government. Here’s the notice:

Wednesday, May 18, 7 p.m.: The city will hold a joint meeting with the Port of Poulsbo to kick off its regular meeting. Next item on the agenda is also port related, having to do with a city/port property transfer; next is a contract amendment with Parametrix for the Noll Road roundabout; a discussion on county-wide planning policies / fully contained communities; and lastly modification to the lease with the Marine Science Foundation.

Central Kitsap Community Council (5300 Newberry Hill Road, Silverdale)

Wednesday, May 18, 7-9 p.m.: The CKCC will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday. Agenda items include an update on the Newberry  Hill Heritage Park and presentations from some of the port districts that fall within Silverdale.

The council will also continue its talks about taking the steps to bring the reduction of the council size from 9 to 7 to the voters in November.

Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)

Monday, April 18, 10 a.m.: This meeting, like last Monday’s morning meeting, is pretty light. Lobbyist Tom McBride will give a legislative update for an hour, which will be followed by an hour of “board information sharing” and then adjournment at noon.

2 p.m.: This meeting is also relatively light. The board will discuss “standing administrative items” for 10 minutes, then review its advisory groups with Jan Koske for an hour and then do more “board information sharing” from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. when they adjourn.

Wednesday, April 20, 8:30 a.m.: The board will look at its agenda for the upcoming April 25 regular business meeting until 9:20 a.m., then have 40 minutes of information sharing before Kitsap County Fire Marshal David Lynam comes in to talk about “fire marshal flow” from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Next for discussion will be a draft of trade development rights and an interlocal agreement with Port Orchard and then the board will go into executive session to talk about personnel matters from 11 to 11:30 .m. Another closed session will follow to discuss real estate and adjournment will come at noon.

Wednesday, April 20, 5:30 p.m.: The council’s taking up discussion on the proposal to reduce the overall council size from nine to seven council members and will have a public hearing regarding the under grounding of wires in downtown.

Tuesday, April 12, 7 p.m.: The City Council has a work study that has a number of items up for discussion. The first two include an hour-long presentation and discussion on “Code City, Mayor/Council Form of Government”; and then a 15 minute discussion on “parking garage relocation”. Wednesday, April 20, 7 p.m.: Poulsbo also has a busy night. The meeting starts with a public hearing on an annexation request known as the “Julian Annexation”. Other items on teh agenda for the night include reviewing an amendment to an interlocal agreement in place with Kitsap County for city hall ownership interest and deciding on the move of the Poulsbo Police Department and its operations to the new city hall space.

Central Kitsap Community Council (5300 Newberry Hill Road)

Wednesday, April 20, 7 p.m.: The Central Kitsap Community Council will hold a regular meeting with presentations about Olympic College’s four-year degree programs, changes to the intersection of Poplars Ave and Silverdale Way and the Silverdale incorporation initiative.

Monday, April 11, 9 a.m.: This meeting’s pretty light, there’s an hour of “Board information sharing” and then a 55 minute legislative update by Tom McBride. Adjournment will follow.

2 p.m.: The board will spend 45 minutes to discuss the incorporation process and resolution as it relates to Silverdale incorporation, then go into an executive session regarding personnel matters with Bert Furuta until 4:30 p.m.

7 p.m.: The board has a regular meeting. Public hearing items include: a resolution amending the 2011 Annual Budget, fiscal impact: $26,286 to the General Fund and $106,601 to other specified funds; a resolution approving temporary road closure of Poplar Avenue for roadway improvements for the construction of the Haselwood Family YMCA facility in Central Kitsap; and a resolution to adopt the Comprehensive Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan.

Wednesday, April 13, 8:30 a.m.: This meeting will include a two hour talk with Larry Keeton and Scott Diener about “BLA / Non-Conforming / Footnote 48”; then at 10:35 a.m. Patty Charnas will talk with commissioners on SMP Inventory & Characterization Adoption the board will then recess into a standing executive session regarding litigation until 11:30 a.m. and then a second executive session regarding real estate until noon. Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)

Monday, April 4, 10 a.m.: The first 30 minutes the board will make a decision on whether to condemn land in South Kitsap that is owned by an Everett man at the intersection of J.M. Dickerson Road and Lake Flora Road. The man doesn’t want to accept the money the county is offering for the property because it will affect his public assistance benefits. See Chris Henry’s story here. The board will spend an hour on a legislative update with Tom McBride and then have 24 minutes of information sharing before adjourning at noon.

2 p.m.: The board will take 10 minutes on “standing administrative items” and then 15 minutes on the solid and hazardous waste management plan. A two-hour executive session will follow regarding an update on all pending litigation. Adjournment will follow around 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 6, 8:30 a.m.: The board will review its agenda for the April 11 meeting until 9:20 a.m. then do information sharing until 10:05 a.m. There will be a 30 minute presentation on GovDelivery by Bud Harris and Doug Bear and then a 30 minute executive session with Shelley Kneip on pending litigation, followed by a 30 minute executive session regarding personnel matters with Bert Feruta and then another executive session for 25 minutes on real estate. Adjournment planned for shortly after noon.

Monday, Jan. 17: No meeting, County Offices are closed in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

Wednesday, Jan. 19, 8:30 a.m.: The board will review its agenda for the Jan. 24 meeting for 45 minutes then “share information” from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. They’ll then here about “Inattentive Driving Code” for 15 minutes before spending the next hour and a half discussing the DCD work plan/docket.
