Happy Hanukkah and Christmas weeks! Here’s the schedule of meetings around the county:
Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)
Monday, Dec. 19, 10 a.m.: The meeting will kick off with a 25 minutes legislative briefing with lobbyist Tom McBride; A 30 minute commissioner staff meeting followed by board information sharing from 11 a.m. to noon. Adjournment to follow.
2 p.m.: Budget update for 25 minutes then annexation update for 45 minutes before adjournment.
3:30 p.m.: NOTE THE SPECIAL MEETING TIME: The board will hold a regular meeting and most of the agenda is consent items that won’t be discussed — looks like a lot of end of the year housecleaning to prepare for 2012. The chairman of the board for 2012 will also be selected and the two public hearing items include approving the ordinance for the 2012 budget that was approved a week earlier (For decision only) and certifying the property tax rate for 2012.

City of Bremerton (meets at 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton)
Wednesday, Dec. 21, 5 p.m.: Meeting starts with a briefing upstairs. General business items include: a resolution revoking Resolution No. 3158 and rejecting the Kitsap Countywide Planning Policies as adopted by the Board of Kitsap County Commissioners; an ordinance amending Chapters 10.10 and 10.11 of the Bremerton Municipal Code (BMC) relating to parking enforcement; an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 5133 and Ordinance No. 5153, modifying the 2011 Annual City of Bremerton Budget.
City of Port Orchard (meets at 219 Prospect Street)
Tuesday, Dec. 20, 7 p.m.: The council has canceled its
work study session.
City of Poulsbo (City Hall, 200 Moe Street)
Wednesday, Dec. 21, 7 p.m.: Agenda items
include board and commission appointments/re-appointments; adopting
the budget ordinance for the 2012 budget; approving an ordinance
ratifying the countywide planning policies; hearing a Shoreline
Master Plan update introduction.
Central Kitsap Community Council (5300 Newberry Hill Road, Silverdale)
Wednesday, Dec. 21, 7-9 p.m.: The two agenda items include an update on the Silverdale Way Roundabout project and Bucklin Hill Road bridge project design status and approving a resolution of support for the Central Kitsap Community Campus master plan.
