Happy December! Here are the meeting agendas for the week:

Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)

Monday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m.: The meeting will kick off with a 25 minutes legislative briefing with lobbyist Tom McBride; A 30 minute session of information sharing follows then a two hour session of reviewing the 2012 work plan with the county’s department heads until 1 p.m. Adjournment will follow.

2 p.m.: Parks director Jim Dunwiddie will give a 25 minute parks update before the board recesses into executive session to discuss labor negotiations from 2:30 to 3 p.m.; the board will reconvene in the commissioner chambers for a public hearing on the 2012 budget from 3 to 3:45 p.m.; and then go back to the Port Blakely conference room for a discussion about Title 17 with DCD director Larry Keeton regarding electric signs until 4 p.m. The board will go back into an executive session from 4 to 4:30 p.m. to discuss pending litigation.

Wednesday, Dec. 7, 8:30 a.m.: The board will review the agenda for its Dec. 12 nightly meeting until 9:15 a.m.; information sharing until 10 a.m. is next followed by a review of Title 21’s land use and development procedures for an hour and then a Department of declaration request from the county from 11 to 11:30 a.m. The board will end the meeting with an executive session on real estate until noon.

 

City of Bremerton (meets at 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton)

Wednesday, Dec. 7, 5:30 p.m.: Public hearing items include: Ordinance No. 5169 amending Section 3.82.020 of the Bremerton Municipal Code (BMC) relating to the commercial parking tax (A Public Hearing was held November 16, 2011); Ordinance No. 5170 amending Chapter 3.50 of the Bremerton Municipal Code (BMC) relating to utility taxes for water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities (A Public Hearing was held November 16, 2011); Ordinance No. 5172 amending rates and fees established by Ordinance No. 5132 (Water Rate increase); Ordinance No. 5173 approving and adopting the 2012 fiscal year budget.

 

City of Port Orchard (meets at 219 Prospect Street)

No meeting this week.

 

City of Poulsbo (City Hall, 200 Moe Street)

Wednesday, Dec. 7, 7 p.m.: The two agenda items include a review of the salaries for exempt employees in 2011 and the city’s hotel/motel fund goals.

 

Housing Kitsap (meets 5th floor of Norm Dicks Government Center, 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton)

Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1-3 p.m.: Agenda items include approval of the revision of an interlocal agreement between Kitsap County and Housing Kitsap for reimbursable work performed by Kitsap County Public Works; a progress update of jurisdictional review on an ordinance defining the process for elected officials appointing representatives to the board; an update on the selection process of the resident commissioner and the election of the board chair and vice chair for 2012.
