You ate your way almost to a coronary, then took the elbows and package corners from your fellow shoppers and you survived. You need something a little less stressful, like county commissioners talking about unfunded mandates and city council members agonizing over little stickers that go on your car’s license plates. Here are the meetings that are being held this week:
Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)
Monday, Nov. 28, 10 a.m.: Legislative priorties
until 10:30 a.m. then board information sharing until noon.
2 p.m.: Updates on the budget and annexation until 3:15 p.m.; Community Advisory Council discussion until 3:45 p.m. and then personnel discussions about compensation and the policy manual until 4:30 p.m.
7 p.m.: Continuation on the public hearing on the county’s comprehensive plan and the North Kitsap String of Pearls Trail plan. There are three other public hearings. One is on the 2012 budget. Another is to consider testimony on 2012 property taxes. The final one is on the capital facilities plan.
Wednesday, Nov. 30: 8:30 a.m.: 8:35 a.m. Title 17 Zoning Use amendment until 9 a.m.; Proposed Amendments to Veterans Assistance Policy until 9:15 a.m.; Procedure Manual changes until 9:30 a.m.; Executive session on real estate until 10 a.m.
City of Bremerton (meets at 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton)
Monday, Nov. 30, 5 p.m.: Public Works Construction Contract for Fourth Street Sewer Lining for the Park Avenue Plaza Project Phase II and a budget workshop to discuss the 2012 budget. This meeting is open to the public, but the public will not have an opportunity to give input or participate.
City of Port Orchard (meets at 219 Prospect Street)
No meeting this week.
City of Poulsbo (City Hall, 200 Moe Street)

Bremerton Housing Authority (BHA, 4040 Wheaton Way)
